We cultivate a community of care among refugees and those serving them around the world while providing tools to support mental-health through yoga, mindfulness and other embodied modalities such as tapping (EFT), TRE and creative expression.
Who we are
The Yoga Mandala Project is a grassroots initiative that supports the well-being of those impacted by war, violence and displacement as well as service providers working in these communities through trauma-informed training, the co-creation of sustainable yoga programs, and crisis response projects
Our training and professional development opportunities empower international service providers and refugee facilitators with tools to share within their communities as well as to support their own self-care to minimize the impacts of vicarious trauma and the high turnover rate among aid workers.
We are a community of trauma-informed yoga teachers and other embodiment facilitators around the globe supporting refugees and those serving them through self-regulation and other stress-relieving embodiment practices. We believe that Yoga is an effective way to support the well-being of refugee communities, and can help to foster dignity, compassion and a sense of a shared humanity.
We build resilience through self and collective care while fostering a sense of community among trauma-informed humanitarians.
Vision
We envision a world where everyone is given access to the resources and healing tools they need to be well.
